Faith Evens at Pearl Bistro and Lounge – 1/15/2009

Frank Ski hosted a “Notorious” party at Pearl Bistro last night which included a special peformance from the one and only Faith Evans. The venue, which is formerly the Magic TGI Fridays at the Greenbriar Mall is nice, intimate  and there was a very large crowd. DJ Bubby Love got the party started and then Frank Ski took over and got everyone on the dance floor.

Pearl Bistro is a nice place to have a show as long as they have a good, proffesional promoter which I was lacking last night. However,  Faith came on and her positive energy was evident from the moment she grabbed the microphone. She came out and she gave shouts out to her former home, Atlanta and all her fans and friends in the crowd including former Brownstone singer Nicci Gilbert who later came onstage to perform during the set.

Faith looked and sounded like she always does; awesome and she spoke about how her former husband BIG used to love her voice and encourage her to sing.  She performed some of her hits including her breakout hit “Soon as I get Home”.  I think Faith is a very good singer and she needs to come out with another album.  Whats do you think?
