Mike Peterson may be a hard-hitting linebacker on the field, but it is his dedication to community outreach as a philanthropist off the field which garners just as much recognition. Peterson, an 11-year veteran defensive standout currently with the Atlanta Falcons, teamed up with Feed the Hungry Foundation and corporate partners PFG Miltons through his Mike Peterson Foundation to provide 100 needy families with meals and support for the Thanksgiving season.

Mike Peterson along with his teammates: Tony Gilbert, Steven Nicholas, Spencer Atkins, and Coy Wire distributed meals to pre-selected families for the Thanksgiving holiday at New Birth Missionary Baptist Church in Lithonia, GA.  Families and youngsters participated in a meet and greet with the pro players taking pictures and getting autographs.

It was important to Peterson to align his Mike Peterson Foundation with other organizations that share similar visions for nurturing and sustaining youth and families in crisis, therefore, a partnership with Feed the Hungry Foundation was a natural fit.
